how to unbrick Samsung s5830i


S5830i odin pass
This guide will show you how to unbrick your galaxy Ace S5830i. It will help you to restore your device in case of soft brick or if you planning to start with a fresh copy of original firmware ,Android Gingerbread.
You need to get following devices and resources before starting the flashing.
1. Devices
  • Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i (please note  the model number. there are other variants of Galaxy Ace, but this guide is only for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i)
  • USB cable
  • Windows computer
2. Software / firmware
  • Odin3 V1.84 with pit file
  • Samsung Firmware S5830i_XXLF3_ODDLF1_DDLF1_by_SplitFUS2 (Google the name “S5830i_XXLF3_ODDLF1_DDLF1_by_SplitFUS2 “ , you will get the link for the firmware)
in case of you are not able to find the firmware/software please ask the link for download files using comments section.

before start flashing

  1. Backup your user data. this process will erase all the your user data in device memory.
  2. switch off the phone, boot into recovery, wipe cash partition, factory reset
  3. make sure your PC is installed with USB drivers for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i
  4. You are now ready to go

Let’s begin flashing


run odin as administrator

Step 1
Run Odin as administrator
  1. Right click on the Odin3_V1.84 while “Shift” key of your computer keyboard is pressed.
  2. Select Run as administrator
Step 2
Boot your Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i into download mode
  1. Press and hold Volume up, Volume down and Power Key
  2. Press Volume up key to confirm the download mode.
Step 3
Connect your Phone in to Computer using USB cable
  1. Computer will detect your phone and will install USB drivers.
  2. once Odin detect your phone , ID:COM box of Odin will become Yellow in color as following figure.

Step 4
Let’s flash
When you Unzip your Samsung Firmware S5830i_XXLF3_ODDLF1_DDLF1_by_SplitFUS2, you will get three separate .tar files as following figure.

  1. (Tick)Check re-partition, Auto-reboot and reset time under options of Odin (refer very first picture of the post)
  2. Click on PIT button of the Odin, navigate and select cooperve_0623.pit file
  3. Tick check box in front of PDA button, then click on PDA button, Navigate and select the firmware file starts with PDA
  4. Tick check box in front of PHONE button, then click on PHONE button, Navigate and select the firmware file starts with MODEM
  5. Tick check box in front of CSC button, then click on CSC button, Navigate and select the firmware file starts with CSC
  6. Click on Start button
  7. sit back and relax, it may take few minutes. do not unplug the device. you will see the “PASS” as first picture of this post when flashing process is completed.
  8. Your phone will be re booted (Fist boot after flashing may take little longer)
