Clockworkmod is a very famous custom recovery which is having more options/facilities as compared to Huawei stock recovery. this is the first step, if you are planning to flash custom rom or flash superuser (rooting).
This method was found from Spanish blog and all the credit should go to original developers. This is the english translation and method was tested by agnAp for verification.
Procedure
- Download attached Clockworkmod.zip (Recovery_Sonic_u8650_v6.0.1.0)
- Unzip into Desktop
- double click on install-recovery-windows (if you are running windows)
- turn off fast boot , turn on USB debugging on your android device (Huawei sonic u8650)
- turnoff the phone (wait for 30 sec)
- boot into fast boot mode (press Volume minus(-) with Power key 10sec)
- connect phone to PC with USB cable
- install recovery bat is already running and it will detect your phone and will flash Clockworkmod v6.0.1.0
- it will reboot to Clockworkmod v6.0.1.0
- now your device is on a world famous custom recovery
Known problems
you will loos your battery charging animation (when phone is charging at off mode) after flashing Clockworkmod recovery. if you plug your device for charging at off mode, it will go to recovery mode. but no harm.
How to boot into recovery
boot in to recovery option is not available in your device when you use shutdown menu. then how can you boot in to recovery?
Method 1 –
- Power off the device
- Press and hold Volume(-) and Power buttons for 5 sec
Method 2 -
- Open Terminal Emulator in your device
- Type su and enter
- Type reboot recovery and enter
