Axel is a Linux based command line tool which can be used as a download manager. it supports resume download. Axel is a one of the fastest download manager I have tried so far. You can find many tutorials which teaches you how to install Axel in Linux based operating systems. but it’s not easy to find a tutorial which explains how to install Axel for Windows.

- download Axel 2.4.zip file from above link.
- decompress zip file and you will get axel application file and cygwin1.dll file
- copy both of them into your system path (ex. C:\Users\user)
- open command line, type axel and press enter
- you will get axel usage options if you have configured correctly.
